Jeffrey Schneider
Jeffrey Schneider's interest in Media Studies evolved out of his efforts to develop and study computer-mediated communication and online learning environments for language study. Together with Silke von der Emde, he developed an online German-language learning environment called MOOssiggang, which is currently used in the Intermediate German Sequence. In addition to articles on language learning, he is currently completing a book-length study tentatively entitled Uniform Fantasies: The Militarization of Masculinity and Male Desire in Imperial Germany. His teaching interests also include drama; literature and culture from the turn of the century; popular culture; and lesbian, bisexual and gay studies.
